Continuous Professional Developments (CPDs)
Our job is to keep you up to date with the latest industry changes and product innovations, within the comfort of your office. Upgrade your Skills: Develop your knowledge and keep up to date with our range of CPD seminars. There are three CPD seminars available (see below), each lasting approximately one hour. Wavin staff are also happy to remain behind after the CPD to discuss any projects you may currently be working on.
Our Range of CPD Seminars
Drainage Systems Below Ground - BCAR / Part H Building Regulations 2010 / Irish Water
This seminar is RIAI CPD Approved. It covers Part H of the Building Regulations 2010 for below-ground foul and surface water drainage systems, including pipes, fittings and chambers. The presentation addresses basic design principles, including the discharge unit method, peak flow and self-cleansing velocity, alongside updated Irish Water guidance and relevant standards to support BCAR compliance. Solutions include gravity sewer pipes, fittings, inspection chambers, and inspectable geocellular soakaway/attenuation tanks.
Sustainable Drainage Systems - SuDS
CIRIA Report C753 and the Greater Dublin Regional Strategic Drainage Study form the basis of this presentation, which explores the need to change current surface water drainage practices. It covers SuDS principles, key design parameters, SuDS train components, and adoption and maintenance considerations. Solutions for inspectable geocellular soakaway/attenuation tanks, flow control, and permeable paving are also presented.
Drainage Systems Above Ground - Part H Building Regulations 2010
This presentation covers Part H of the Building Regulations 2010 for above-ground foul drainage and roof-level surface water systems, including soil stacks, branch pipes, traps, gutters and downpipes. It also presents solutions for stack noise reduction, branch ventilation, crossflow prevention, and limited service shaft space.
