The Wavin PPR and PP-RCT plumbing system
Wavin PPR/PP-RCT is an all-plastic polyfusion welded system made of polypropylene (PPR or PP-RCT). Monolayer and multi-layered pipe are available in dimensions 20 to 200 mm, designed for transporting drinking water and heating applications.
Advanced PPR/PP-RCT plumbing system for drinking water and heating applications
Wavin PPR/PP-RCT is a robust welded jointing plumbing system offering a wide range of pipes and fittings for drinking water and heating purposes. Secure welding brings a strong homogeneous and durable connection, with the weld becoming the strongest part of the system. Using both socket welding and electro-fusion, secure welds ensure reliability across the whole plumbing system.
PP-RCT is the most recent generation of polypropylene, able to resist higher pressures and temperatures, delivering a greater long-term strength. RCT material allows the wall thickness to be reduced, leading to a higher flow rate and improved pressure resistance.
The PPR plumbing system has superior physical characteristics at 90 degrees Celsius and high chemical resistance. Aluminium and glass fibre cores minimize thermal expansion, meaning the plumbing system maintains its shape and size better under temperature changes. It provides high-strength performance and outstanding corrosion and scaling resistance for durability.
PPR/PP-RCT pipes don’t produce noise due to expansion and contraction, so any underfloor heating system operates silently, giving a quiet living environment. PPR/PP-RCT plumbing systems used for underfloor heating distribute heat evenly, boosting comfort and energy efficiency.
