The Wavin PPR and PP-RCT plumbing system
Wavin PP-R/PP-RCT piping systems are versatile for a wide variety of applications. They distribute hot and cold water and support underfloor heating. Made from advanced polypropylene (PP-RCT), they resist higher pressures and temperatures.
An advanced PPR/PP-RCT plumbing system for carrying drinking water
Wavin PPR/PP-RCT is a robust welded jointing plumbing system ideal for a broad range of drinking water transportation uses. It prioritizes resilience and sustainability to deliver an eco-friendly, long-lasting solution.
Its PPR or PP-RCT materials are non-toxic and don’t leach harmful chemicals into the drinking water, making them safe for human consumption. They have strong hygienic properties, resisting the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms, ensuring the water remains clean and safe.
The polyfusion welded fittings offers state of the art Type-4 PP-RCT composition in sizes ranging from 16 to 125 mm. This provides lightweight, high-strength performance and outstanding corrosion and scaling resistance. Larger sizes up to 250mm are available, these using secure butt fusion connection. Pipes are available in either PP-R or PP-RCT depending on customer and market preference.
Wavin PPR and PP-RCT pipes are lightweight and easy to handle, making installation faster and less labor-intensive. Welded jointing techniques create a single, leak-proof entity.
The more technologically advanced PP-RCT material has greater pressure resistance at high temperatures. The multi-layered PP-RCT pipe also has a smaller wall thickness than the PPR version, increasing the flow rate by a third. Its middle layer is reinforced with basalt fibers to limit thermal expansion, enabling expansion results that are three times lower than with PPR options.
The Wavin PPR/PP-RCT plumbing system offers a wide range of fittings in multiple pressure classes, and every option comes with a 10-year warranty.
Planning and specifying these systems is simple; calculation programs and BIM Revit content packages are available free of charge.
